Manjit K. Gill MBE

Manjit K. Gill MBE is CEO and founder of the ground-breaking, award winning charity- Binti International- which has a mission to provide menstrual dignity to all girls.

Manjit has amassed over 20 years of international business expertise and has been involved in seven start-ups prior to Binti International. It was her role as a volunteer mentor for a young lady in Kenya with the Cherie Blair Foundation that led her to start Binti. She realised that some women do not have access to menstrual products and the psychological and economic impact that was having on the women and their communities was hugely detrimental.

Her mission is to create a massive, social impact, whilst generating a sustainable organisation. To provide basic menstrual products and education for girls and women across the world whilst dispelling stigmas, taboos and smash shame with periods.

Manjit and Binti have been recognised for their work with numerous awards including the most recent London Faith & Belief Community Award in August 2020 and Points of Light award by the Prime Minister last June.

Binti has also been selected by the GEO in the UK Government to run the Period Task Force managing stigma, taboo and menstrual education.

Manjit has been profiled in many notable media outlets including Marie Claire, The Independent, The Metro, The Times of India, Canary Wharf magazine, The Guardian, Sunday Times, Thomson Reuters Foundation the BBC and ITV Channel 4.

She says her faith has led her to believe she can accomplish anything that she puts her mind to, and that belief has led her to follow her passion and drive to keep going. By ensuring women have access to a fundamental provision means they can also thrive and achieve what they are capable of.

Manjit says, “I’m really proud to be working with the Leus Family Foundation as their fundamental values are so closely aligned with my own.”
